Ridge Farm Wedding Photographer

A couple of months prior, Annelies and Ben got in touch with me to ask if I could be their Ridge Farm wedding photographer. Ridge Farm is situated in the peaceful countryside of West Sussex. It was nice to break free of London and head south towards West Sussex! It is quite a unique venue in that couples getting married there get to use the historic farmhouse for the weekend. It used to be a recording studio and host musician’s wedding receptions, so it has a great bit of history. I kicked off by photographing Annelies’ bridal preparation. The room she got ready in had a nice big window allowing for natural light to come flooding in. It’s all about the light, and this room was great!

Then it was a quick dash down to the church in nearby Rusper for the ceremony, preceeded by photographing Ben and the guys at the pub over the road from the church. The ceremony and church was lovely and we spent a little bit of time outside on the lawn after the ceremony before heading back to Ridge Farm for the reception. After speniding an hour or so capturing the couple and their guests enjoying themselves over few glasses of champagne we quickly ran through the group shots before whisking the couple away, with the videographer, for a fifteen minute couple portrait session. I always pride myself in getting maximum variety in a short space of time and before they knew it, they were back with their guests and off to sit down for their meal and speeches. A great surprise was a belly dancer entertaining the guests! I thought she looked familiar, then it struck me that it was one of the bridemaids! Fantastic.

If you are getting married at Ridge Farm and are searching for a photographer, please contact me to discuss your requirements.
