Last year Diana and Mike booked me to cover their wedding photography at Fennes in Essex. A couple of months earlier we met up in central London for an engagement shoot, so it was great to see them again. I started off photographing Diana’s bridal preparation in one of the fabulous rooms at the venue. Fennes is an lovely wedding venue and great from a wedding photographer’s perspective as well.
After wrapping up coverage of the bridal preparation we headed off to a nearby church for the ceremony, then we returned to Fennes for the reception. It was one of those really hot summer’s days that we do occasionally get here in England, and we all soaked it up!
After some group shots on the lawn everyone headed inside to sit down and await Diana & Mike’s entrance, which was greeted with rapturous applause! After some great food, speeches, cake cutting and the first dance, we then went outside to create some dramatic night time photographs.
There is a fabulous bridge with fountains either side, and I just had to use that for one of my shots I had in mind. Although the entire scene was virtually pitch black, using multiple lights controlled from the camera, I was able to light up the fountains and the couple, resulting in just the picture I had in mind.
If you are getting married and would like to discuss your wedding photography at Fennes, I would be delighted to hear from you so please do get in touch for a chat.
