Sapna and Kavi got in touch with my early this year regarding their Coombe Abbey Wedding Photography. I had previously photographed their engagement ceremony and pre-engagement couple shoot, and also Sapna’s brother’s wedding a couple of years ago. So It was fantastic to be invited back to photograph their civil wedding at Coombe Abbey in Coventry. In fact just a few days later I was up in Leicester to photograph their Indian pre-wedding ceremonies, but more about that in a future blog post.
The venue itself is stunning and with 150 acres of spectacular gardens, woodland and a lake, fantastic photo opportunities are in abundance.
I started off photographing Sapna’s bridal preparation in one of the lovely hotel rooms. Then I popped out to capture images of guests and family arriving before we all made our way to The Cloisters room for the ceremony itself. Thankfully the weather was playing along nicely and we were then able to all make our way outside, which certainly looked a bit doubtful earlier!
While the guests enjoyed drinks and nibbles on the terrace, Sapna, Kavi, the videographers and I went off for a quick couple shoot. Working very quickly I was able to capture a wide variety of shots and with a couple as easy to work with as they were, it was great! Then we returned to the terrace to re-join the family and guests where I finished my coverage a short while later. A fabulous wedding, with a fabulous couple, in a fabulous location!
