Graeme and Andrea got in touch with me last year asking if I was available to photograph their Clandon Park Wedding. We met up over a coffee to discuss their day in more detail and I was very pleased that they decided to book me to photograph their wedding at such a fantastic venue! There are lots of lovely wedding venues in Surrey, but for me this is one of the best. With spectacular architecture and beautiful grounds, it is perfect. Many couples opt for an engagement shoot and Graeme and Andrea did just that. These shoots allow one to get used to being photographed by a professional photographer and we all get to know each other a little bit better. My style is very relaxed so when it comes to couple shoots it’s nice and natural with a bit of gentle direction.
Come the wedding day and I started off by going to the Legacy Thatcher’s Hotel in East Horsley to photograph Andrea’s preparation. There was loads of excitement when I walked through the door and everyone was buzzing. Time flies during this part of the day and soon I set off for Clandon Park which is just a short drive away.
Everyone was in the spectacular Marble Hall before being ushered into the Tapestry Room for the ceremony. I love the excitement and anticipation not only of the groom, but also of the guests at this stage of the wedding with everyone awaiting Andrea’s arrival. She looked absolutely stunning as she walked up the aisle and the look on Graeme’s face said it all! After the ceremony we had a drinks reception with canapés in the Marble Hall and then it was time to go downstairs to the Vaulted Undercroft for the wedding breakfast, speeches and then accompanied by a brilliant band, loads of dancing!
A thoroughly enjoyable wedding with a great couple at an amazing venue! That is why I enjoy wedding photography!
