When David and Sushma booked me for their wedding photography some time back, they were very keen to have a London pre-wedding shoot. These are also commonly known as engagement shoots and are really just a very relaxed, stress-free way for the photographer and the couple to get to know each other a little better before the big day. Not to mention the gorgeous images the couple receive, which they can use to make a guest signing book, a signing board or even a lovely framed photograph to display on their actual wedding day.
Anyway, I met Sushma and David at London Bridge Station one Sunday afternoon and with the sun low in the sky, which makes for gorgeous light, we started shooting. Given the amount of time we had, I managed to get a really wide variety of photos during their pre-wedding shoot. They were totally relaxed and having fun, which is certainly aided by my very loose direction I give to my couples. Certainly no rigid posing or prompting as I much prefer the more natural look, capturing the natural interaction between the couple. Sushma and David have their Hindu wedding and wedding at Chiwsick House and their civil wedding the following day at Kew Gardens coming up in just a few weeks from now! I am really looking forward to these ceremonies and celebrations in two of the most stunning venues in West London.
