After being referred to me by another happy couple I photographed last year, I was thrilled to fit the bill for Rakesh and Manisha’s search for a London engagement photographer. I recently realised that I had not blogged their engagement shoot even though I have blogged their wedding months ago. Why hold back I say! It is high time I did, and here it is. Rakesh and Manisha travelled down to London for their engagement shoot one Sunday, which thankfully as a glorious sunny day. There is something quite special about London on nice sunny days and the atmosphere really lifts throughout the city.
Since we had no time constraints, and wanting to get a great selection and variety of photographs, this ended up being my longest ever engagement shoot. If I recall correctly it was nearly four hours long. Okay, we did stop for a delicious lunch at Embankment before continuing, but the three of us could not believe how quickly the time flew. As you will see in the photographs below, we covered a fair bit of central London and captured quite a few of the famous landmarks. Something worth noting in the images is that although the city was absolutely heaving with tourists and people enjoying the sunny weather, it is still easily possible to capture gorgeous, intimate images without distractions.
Rakesh and Manisha chose one of the images to be printed and framed for display on their wedding day and I also arranged a guest signing book using images from the day. This is a great way to add a more personal touch on the wedding day. Hope you enjoy!
