I met with Khalid and Maddie many months ago when they were searching for a West Lodge Park wedding photographer. I got a really good vibe during our meeting and was very pleased to hear from them shortly afterwards, asking me if I could be their photographer for their big day. Shortly after that I was also selected by Khalid’s brother Tariq to photograph his wedding ceremonies. Khalid and Tariq were getting married three weeks apart! They both also opted to have engagement shoots so in total I had seven shoots lined up for these families. Wow.
So the big day arrived for Khalid and Maddie’s civil wedding at West Lodge Park Hotel in Hertfordshire. I started off with Maddie’s bridal preparation coverage at their home in North London. Maddie looked absolutely stunning, as did her bridesmaids. Knowing I would have to fight my way through heavy traffic I set off in good time for West Lodge Park Hotel. The weather was glorious and pretty much as good as it gets. After the registry ceremony we made our way onto the ample lawns of the hotel to capture some group shots. Then the three of us disappeared for a short while to capture some romantic couple portraits before heading off to the reception, held at the RNB Banqueting Venue. After the Nikah ceremony held in the reception hall, the festivities began and continued way into the night with much fun had by all! Loads of dancing and before I knew it, it was time to say goodbye until their next ceremony only two days later.
