Kylie and Tim got in touch with me some time back to ask me to be their wedding photographer in Brighton and Lewes. Although they live in Australia, Kylie is originally from New Zealand and Tim from the UK, so there were a lot of family and friends who travelled long distances to celebrate their big day with them. The day before the wedding the weather was not good, at all… Thankfully the forecast was looking good and the morning the rain and wind had disappeared, whew!
I started off with Kylie’s bridal preparations in a gorgeous house right on Brighton sea front. There was huge excitement and anticipation in the house which is always a pleasure to experience. Then it was a quick dash to nearby Lewes Castle for the ceremony. Lewes Castle is over nine hundred years old and once up on top for the ceremony, the views are magnificent. The moment Kylie stepped out of the car after arriving at Lewes Castle, the sun broke out! After the ceremony we all made our way down to the bottom section for the reception, which included a delicious hog roast and plenty of entertaining speeches. We managed to nip away for some couple portraits before returning to continue the celebrations. Early evening everyone made the short walk to the Southover Grange for the continuation of the reception. After the first dance we slipped outside into the amazing gardens for another quick couple portrait session before returning to the party, which included a Vodka Luge!
If you are getting married in Brighton, Lewes or surrounds, please get in touch to discuss your requirements in further detail.
