Being one of my favourite venues, it was great news when Jonathan and Punam booked me for their Hedsor House wedding photography, featured a civil and Hindu wedding in one day. It really is a spectacular and very picturesque venue, offering a very classy setting away from the hustle and bustle of a city venue. It had only been a few weeks since I photographed another wedding there so it was good to return to Hedsor House. I must say how lucky I am with the weather at the weddings I photograph – I must have a hit rate well above 90% for great weather, or at least… no rain!
First up was the Hindu wedding. I covered some of Punam’s bridal preparation in the morning and then popped outside for Jonathan’s arrival and grand entrance led by a very vocal pair of dhol drummers. The ceremony room was absolutely jam packed and looked amazing with the mandap at the far end. Once the Hindu ceremony was over we quickly popped outside for a quick couple shoot. Not soon after that it was almost time for round two. The bride and groom went off to change and prepare for the civil wedding ceremony. The ceremony room was magically transformed and when I entered, with everyone waiting in anticipation for Punam’s entrance with her father. After the civil ceremony it was time for another drinks reception and delicious canapés. Then we had the cutting of the cake followed by the sit down meal and some hilarious speeches.
First dance time! Jonathan and Punam put on quite a show – a very well executed first dance which had everyone cheering loudly and thoroughly enjoying it. I did a quick scout outside the venue to look for some night time couple portrait opportunities, before inviting the couple to join me for a few minutes while we captured a few different scenes.
Another highly enjoyable Hedsor House wedding with a fabulous couple! If you are planning a wedding and looking for an Asian Wedding Photographer, please feel free to contact me for a chat about your requirements.
